Our Story
"SOYARI" IS THE NAME OF OUR MOTHERS VILLAGE IN SOUTH KOREA.
Our family immigrated to the United States in 1983
in search of our legacy.
|
Soyari sauce was invented in Southern California by the womxn of the Lee family in 1989.
Each of the 5 sisters contributed to the creation of the original recipe, offering ideas for taste + texture.
However, the true chef of the family was
Myong Soon Lee, the 2nd oldest sister. She was passionate about creating + sharing.
|
It is in her honor that Soyari sauce has been packaged + created for distribution.
Myong Soon was laid to rest in 2018,
may her legacy live on.
|
Soyari sauce was created out of necessity in the
mid-80s, when Asian aisles lacked variety.
New to the U.S. The Lee sisters were introduced
to flavors like jalapeño, serrano,
habanero, and pineapple.
To their pleasant surprise, these flavors paired perfectly with their homeland dishes.
|
Mouth-watering at every bite,
Soyari sauce is a must-have in every kitchen.
The sauce has a soy base, hand-blended with organic produce, preserved naturally with vinegar.
Sweetened with love and served cold
it’s refreshing + light, not thick or heavy.
Spicy + sweet, just like the womxn in our family.
Please enjoy our saucy recipe!
